Community members and supporters of Impact 100 Palm Beach County gathered on February 19 at The Boca Raton for a festive and thought-provoking evening as the organization’s Impact Talks series returned with Cyber Smart Protecting Yourself in a Digital World.
“Impact Talks was created to bring our community together around conversations that matter,” said Janean Mileusnic, President of Impact 100 Palm Beach County. “Programs like this allow us to learn from experts, connect, and deepen our understanding of issues that affect our daily lives while strengthening the spirit of philanthropy that drives Impact 100.”
The program brought together guests from across Palm Beach County for an evening that blended connection, learning, and philanthropy. Attendees enjoyed a Sip and Shop experience at the resort’s boutiques along with savory bites and cocktails before settling in for the evening’s featured presentation.
Co-chaired by Laurie Applewhite and Cristy Fimiani, the event welcomed both Impact 100 members and community guests for a program designed to offer practical insight in an engaging setting.
The highlight of the evening was a keynote presentation by Ingrid Gliottone, CEO of BlackCloak. Drawing on her expertise in cybersecurity and digital protection, Gliottone shared practical strategies for safeguarding personal data, financial information, and online identities in an increasingly complex digital landscape. Her presentation offered attendees clear guidance on protecting themselves and their families from cyber threats, identity theft, and financial fraud.
The evening also featured a brief but powerful update from nonprofit leader Barbara Stark, who shared how Impact 100 Palm Beach County’s transformational grant strengthened the Milagro Center’s GEMS program. The initiative empowers middle and high school girls through career exploration, academic enrichment, and mentorship while helping participants build confidence and stay on track toward graduation.
Impact 100 Palm Beach County expressed sincere appreciation to The Boca Raton for its sponsorship and gracious hospitality, as well as to Applewhite and Fimiani for their leadership in bringing together a program where community, knowledge, and impact intersected.
