 OUR MISSION

Image The Milagro Center provides superior arts education to the children of Palm Beach County’s most disadvantaged populations. Milagro, which means “miracle” in Spanish, creates a unique community context within which students, families, and schools cooperate to achieve mutual success. The Center’s goals are to:

  • Ensure academic success.
  • Teach inclusion, embrace diversity, and promote the arts.
  • Create strong individuals who positively impact their communities.

OUR HISTORY

Milagro, which means "miracle" in Spanish, is a community haven for culture that encourages people of all ages to receive inspiration through arts, education and training.

The Milagro Center is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization that was established in September 1998. It was founded by a team of visionary leaders, motivated solely by their desire for community service and social justice. Today Milagro has become an award-winning cultural mecca of Delray Beach. Located not far from Delray Beach’s bustling downtown district, Milagro rests at the confluence of the traditional line of demarcation between the majority and the various ethnic minorities of the community.

Dedicated to its mission, Milagro strives to make a positive difference in the community by engaging and uniting all cultures in Palm Beach County through five major art domains: dance, theater, music, visual arts and communication arts. Students, teachers, artists, clients and visitors flow through the Milagro Center with the sole intention of enriching and motivating the Center’s students. It is through the Milagro STARS Program that the community’s youth experience essential social, leadership, tolerance skills as well as develop an appreciation for the arts.

It is the hope and desire of Milagro that as people pass through its doors, they will experience an awakening of mutual respect, harmony and peaceful integration.
